NIGEL Clough has thanked Brewers fans for creating a "brilliant" atmosphere as Albion got a vital point against Wigan.
The Brewers boss said: "The atmosphere was brilliant and the home fans got behind us. We initiated that with our closing down and things like that."That gets the crowd behind you and on their feet. It's our responsibility as much as theirs.
"It's a joint effort. We show it on the pitch and they rise to it. There will be times over the last three games where there are lulls in play and we need them to come up with a bit of noise. They did that all the way through the Wigan game last night.
"Night matches are always better atmospheres and as a player you always feel better and a bit sharper."
Clough was delighted with the effort from his players and the way they took the game to Wigan.
He said: "It wasn't a win but it was a big performance against the team at the top of the league. It was important to get that feeling back of how we were playing earlier in the season. There have been glimpses in recent games but that was more of it for 90 minutes last night."
