MANAGER'S VERDICT: BARNSLEY

16 April 2016

NIGEL Clough says his players gave everything against Barnsley and just needed a bit of luck.

The Brewers boss said: "I thought we just about shaded it in the first half with a few half chances. The second half I thought was ours. If we can just get a break around the penalty area then we will get a goal.

"It's not lack of effort. The players gave everything and were out on their feet at the end. A bit of luck in the second half and we would have won the game.

"It's bobbling about in the six-yard box and not dropping to a yellow shirt. We have to hope that changes in the last four games.

"It's not to do with lack of effort, you just need the ball to drop for you sometimes.

"It's just one of those scrappy ones that we need to get at the moment. But I can't fault the players - they have given it everything."
