NIGEL Clough hailed a "magnifcent" performance from his Burton Albion team.

The Brewers boss said: "We were magnificent throughout. We were very unlucky to go 1-0 down but the response was brilliant and we got a deserved equaliser.

"All the second half we looked like we could get a goal at any time.

"In terms of getting in their faces. closing the opposition down, it was one of our best performances of the season.

"I didn't see too much action at Jon McLaughlin's end in the second half and we were just waiting for something to drop. We were very close to it on occasions.

"It's actually one of the miracles of football that we were on the same pitch as them in a league match but if anyone was going to win it it was us.

"A draw's not too bad a result for us we just need to get something on Saturday now."
