MATTY Palmer has been recalled from his loan spell at Oldham Athletic with immediate effect.
The 22-year-old was a product of the Burton Albion youth academy has made 14 appearances for the Latics this season, scoring one goal.He originally moved to Oldham on a youth loan before it was extended as a standard emergency loan but manager Nigel Clough has brought him back to the Pirelli Stadium for the remaining five games of the season.
Palmer will be eligible to go straight into Saturday’s squad against Barnsley at the Pirelli Stadium.
The Brewers boss said: “We think Matty’s loan has served its purpose with him getting regular games at Oldham.
“There’s no doubt he will be very useful in the run-in with just five games to go, we will need him.”
