TEAM SPIRIT WILL KEEP BREWERS ON COURSE SAYS CLOUGH

5 April 2016

TEAM spirit and hard work will keep the Brewers promotion push on track, says Nigel Clough.

The Brewers boss believes the last gasp equaliser at home to Bury demonstrated what his team is all about.

He said:  “What everyone sees and appreciates is a team giving absolutely everything. They don’t give in, they keep going right until the end and then you get your rewards. We are great believers that the honesty of the players will get us there.

“Wigan have the quality – they have a multi-million pound squad, that’s why they can go 19 games unbeaten and end up a point ahead of us. We rely more on the hard work and honesty of the players.

"We don’t know how many points we need but we will keep battling, keep fighting like we did against Bur,y and we think we will be alright.

“After  40 games, and the majority of the players out there against Bury having done the hard work, we are happy we have a clear week now to get ready for Scunthorpe.”
