BLACKBURN ROVERS PREVIEW

19 August 2016

NIGEL Clough’s Brewers side will head to Ewood Park tomorrow to take on Owen Coyle’s Blackburn Rovers.

Rovers who have lost their first three games will be looking to stop their losing run.

Despite losing three, Clough still expects a very tough challenge away from home:

“It’s not been a great start by them but we have to concentrate on ourselves. We’ve been in good form, we’ve played well in all our games so far and winning the other night against a good Sheffield Wednesday side can only boost our confidence in the squad.

“We’d like an early goal as that always helps, we feel one of our strengths is going forward and making life uncomfortable for defenders playing the two up front. We have had 50 efforts on goal in three games which shows we will be looking to go forward.”

Albion only have one injury concern ahead of the trip to Lancashire with defender Tom Flanagan a bit of a doubt:

“Tom picked up a slight thigh injury in last few minutes on Tuesday, we have a few niggles and knocks but the players should be alright from Tuesday. Matty Palmer was very tired, a lot of the lads have felt the difference in pace of the game from last season.

"Lee Williamson is back in contention after sitting on the bench Tuesday.”

Albion fans have till 3.30pm today to buy tickets, however they can buy tickets on the gate at Ewood Park.
