BREWERS manager Nigel Clough has confirmed there is deal in place to bring Hamza Choudhury back to the club on a season long loan.
The 18 year-old, who made 13 appearances for the side left a good impression on supporters last season in the centre of midfield.
Clough said: “After lots of conversations with Leicester, we have just agreed a deal in principle with them.
“It looks like it will be for the season, with the option of a recall in January which is obligatory.
“We hope it will be done before Saturday, he adapted so quickly to League One for his first time in senior football, so we are hopeful he will manage to do the same in the Championship.
“He is only 18-years old, you’ll get the enthusiasm from a young player like him and we believe the 3 months he had with us will stand him in good stead.
“I have spoken with his Under 21s boss at Leicester Steve Beaglehole, who said he had been away with the first team too so he will be up to scratch. He knows us, how we operate so we are pleased to have the deal in place.”
