BURTON Albion can confirm that Hamza Choudhury will be playing at The Pirelli this season after agreeing a season-long loan deal from Premier League Champions Leicester City.Choudhury, aged only 18 spent three months with the Brewers last season will once again link up with the squad ahead of their Championship debut this afternoon against Nottingham Forest.
Brewers manager Nigel Clough said: “After a few conversations with Leicester, we are pleased to be able to get this one done. We were impressed with Hamza in his first spell, in particular how he adapted so quickly to his first taste of senior football. We hope he can come in and do the same in the Championship. “Having spoken to his Under 21s boss at Leicester Steve Beaglehole, he only said positive things since he has been back with them. He’d been away with the first team and played a few U21 games.
“He knows how he work and operate so we are pleased with the deal. We hope he will be up to match sharpness and be able to come into the squad right away.”
Choudhury will wear the number 19 shirt this season and is eligible to face Nottingham Forest this afternoon.
