BURTON Albion manager Nigel Clough was delighted to be through to the next round of the EFL Cup after the 3-2 win over Bury.
The Brewers boss said: "We couldn't risk too many players tonight - especially with it being a Wednesday and another game coming on Saturday."The lads acquitted themselves very well tonight - I was just disappointed that we briefly gave the initiative way. We played well got the goal but gave one away just after half time.
"Bury came out and gave a very spirited second half display. The goal lifted them and they had a good 15 minutes but we deservedly got through in the end.
"We know from when we played them last season how difficult it would be too get a result tonight."
