MCLAUGHLIN READY FOR TOUGH TEST SATURDAY

9 December 2016

BREWERS goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin expects a tough test on Saturday when the Brewers head to Griffin Park to play Brentford despite them having lost their last four games.

“They might be coming into the game off the back of some bad results but they’ve played really well at time this season. I’ve seen them on TV a few times and they have a really strong attacking threat.

“It wasn’t long ago they were few points off the play-off spots and people were talking about them as play-off contenders after a good win at QPR.

“After a few defeats, they will be looking to consolidate more I imagine but with them being the home side they will come out to impose themselves on us too.”

McLaughlin also called on his Brewers teammates to continue their hard work in the last two games picking up four points from a possible six.

“We need to continue this spell of form because in this league if you don’t pick up points and teams around you do, your position can change drastically. It’s fair to say there are ten to twelve teams that are fighting to stay out of the bottom three. Rotherham are a bit detached from the rest, so possibly two places, it’s a credit to the lads that we haven’t been in the bottom three so far too.”
