AURELIEN JOACHIM LEAVES THE BREWERS

1 February 2016

BURTON Albion forward Aurelien Joachim has left Burton Albion after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

Joachim made 11 appearances for the Brewers, two of those were starts against Middlesbrough and Doncaster Rovers respectively.

Aurelien Joachim said: “I think the team are doing well so it was difficult to get in the team. It is the best solution for me and the club to find another club.”

He added: “If you don’t get any chances on the pitch it is difficult to show what you can do. Training is not the same as a game.”

Manager Nigel Clough told SportMail: "Aurelien's contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.”

He added: "He's had limited opportunities here.

"We've got Mason Bennett, Stuart Beavon, Timmy Thiele, Lucas Akins and even Mark Duffy who can all play up front.

"He'll now look for a new club in Europe and we wish Aurelien all the best."

Aurelien is now seeking a contract with a European club.
