DUFFY AND BENNETT CAN LINK UP TO PROVIDE MORE GOALS FOR BREWERS

10 February 2016

MARK Duffy believes that he and loan signing Mason Bennett can strike up an important understanding that will help bag more goals for the Brewers.

Bennett made his first start for Albion and scored the first goal against Bradford.

Duffy scored the third goal as Albion went on to win 3-1.

He says: “You make these little connections with people and it really pays dividends. Mason has pace in abundance and he just makes the right runs at the right time and can absolutely destroy defences in this league.

“The gaffer wants us to work on that and get Mason in those positions.”

The Brewers have scored freely under Nigel Clough with players chipping in from all over the park.

Duffy says: “In training we look at situations in and around the box and look at getting our shots off and I think that is part of it. The gaffer tells us to stay solid but also wants us to play a bit more.

“We have 17 games left now and the aim is promotion. Everyone win makes it harder for the other teams and we just have to keep going.”
