HAMZA CHOUDHURY ADMITS IT WAS NICE TO MAKE HIS PROFESSIONAL DEBUT

BURTON Albion confirmed the signing of Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury at 2PM this afternoon after he was named on the bench against Walsall.

He unexpectedly made his professional debut today as he was gievn the final ten minutes in a 0-0 draw with Walsall at the Pirelli Stadium.

Choudhury said: "It was nice to come out in front of this crowd at Burton.

"Everyone has welcomed me and it was nice to get a few minutes today."

The 18-year-old admits he didn't expect to get on the pitch today after only hearing about the loan move last night.

"I thought I'd just sit on the bench, see how it is then goes through next week's training and try to force my way into the team," said Choudhury.

He added: "I first knew about it at 9 o'clock last night - I was just in my car when the Leicester academy director range me and said a League One team wanted to take me on loan.

"When he told me it was Burton I obviously jumped at the opportunity with them flying. 

"A few of the lads at Leicester said it's a good club to be at.

"He (Jacob Blyth) told me that he loved it here and that I'll enjoy it, all the lads are nice and you'll settle in fine."
