"I LOVE PLAYING AT HOME IN FRONT OF OUR FANS"

27 February 2016

IN what promises to be the largest home attendance at the Pirelli Stadium this season, Lucas Akins urges fans to get behind the team as they take on Walsall today, 3PM.

Akins said: “The fans have been out in numbers at home and they do make a difference.

“I love playing at home in front of our fans they always get behind us.”

Attractive styles of play are something Gary Rowett, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and now Nigel Clough have brought to the Pirelli Stadium in recent years.

“If you look at it this season, we have looked to give them something to shout about and Saturday will be no different,” said Akins.

“I think you can be judged at testing times when you come off the back of a defeat and we need them more than ever now.

“They can definitely get us over the line now if they get behind the boys.”
