NIGEL Clough was happy with a point from a very close encounter at the Pirelli between two promotion contenders.
The Albion boss said: "It was a very tight game with nothing in it at all. it was never going to be a free-flowing classic."Chances were few and far between but we got another clean sheet and another point on the board.
"Defences were on top and I thought it was going to take a mistake and no-one made one.
"We got back to what the team has been all about the last season or two - being solid and not giving anything away, defending properly and then we nearly nicked one late on with a chance for Lucas.
"We wanted to keep that six point gap between us and Walsall. We haven't damaged our position. In fact we have strengthened it."
