'WE WON'T GET CARRIED AWAY,' SAYS WEIR

16 February 2016

BURTON Albion can cope with being top of the league says Robbie Weir.

The Brewers don’t play until Monday night but, whatever happens in the League One fixtures on Saturday, will go to Southend still at the top.

Weir says: “We are not getting carried away by being top of the league. We know we have a job to do with Southend away and then Walsall at home.

“We know we have tough games coming up and anyone who wants to play us is playing for their lives because we are up there and they have seen our defensive record. We have 16 games left and we will keep on pushing.

“It has rolled on from last year. When you win this many games as us it becomes a habit.

“We all hurt like mad when we lose a game. We have a good team spirit. Everyone works hard for each other.”
