NIGEL Clough says that any loan signings will have to improve an already good squad if the players are to be brought into the Pirelli Stadium.
The Albion boss has enquiries in for four or five players but needs to be convinced that any additions to the squad will make a difference.
He said: “We have a brilliant starting 11 at the moment, maybe 12 or 13, and it’s a case of can we improve those that need to come in if we get an injury or two?
"When you have a good squad it’s always difficult, as the ones that come in have to be better. They have to get up to speed, get to know everybody so there’s no point in them being the same as what you have got, they have to be better.
"At the moment, when you are top of the league and winning, it’s hard to identify players in that category.”
