MARK Duffy’s loan deal has been extended to keep him at the Pirelli Stadium until the end of the season.

Duffy has played a key part in Albion’s first-ever League One season after arriving from Birmingham in the summer and has impressed under Nigel Clough, scoring the equaliser against Doncaster and the winner against Blackpool.

Clough said: “It’s always good when we are desperate for him to stay and he wants to stay. We are grateful to Gary Rowett and Birmingham for letting him do that. They are on a good run at the moment, so I think this is the best place for him as he wants to carry on playing and he’s in good form.”

Duffy was delighted to be staying at the Pirelli Stadium.

He said: “I’m really enjoying my football here and just want to carry on what we are doing. It’s great to be playing games week in week out because that's something I really enjoy. I’m pleased with the way I’m playing but I just want to take one or two more chances when they come my way.”

Duffy’s loan not only keeps him at the Pirelli Stadium until the end of the season but will also make him available for the Brewers should they be involved in the League One play-offs.
