DUFFY SAYS THERE'S MORE TO COME AFTER EXTENDING LOAN DEAL

7 January 2016

AFTER extending his loan from Birmingham until the end of the season, Mark Duffy has told Albion fans that he can bring even more to the Brewers promotion push.

He said: "I was just happy to get it all done. I'm really happy here and it's always such a positive when a new manager makes it really clear early on that he wants you to stay.

"We have been doing unbelievably well in the league and long may it continue. I have being going into the games full of confidence and now the contract's all done, I can concentrate on the football on the pitch, getting the results for the club and taking them up to the Championship.

"Everyone in the team has performed really well, week-in, week-out and gets a really good reception from the crowd. Against Blackpool they were brilliant when we were down to ten men and really rallied around us and got us all going. It really makes a difference.

"I'm happy with my form but I think I have more to come. There are more goals that I could have scored. I could have had six in the last three weeks. It's something I need to improve on and the Gaffer is doing some short, sharp stuff around the  box in training that will improve me and will hopefully mean I can get a good few more important goals from now to the end of the season.

"We are top of League One and it's unfamiliar territory for the club but we can keep pushing on and the Gaffer stresses to us that we are there to be shot at now and teams will do different things against us. But all the lads are really enjoying it, relishing it and going out there and performing well."
