ON THE WHISTLE MATCH REPORT

It was a mixed team that travelled to Nuneaton Town. New signing Stephen Bywater started in goal whilst Callum Reilly and Matty Palmer held the midfield.

Aurelien Joachim and Timmy Thiele led the line in a 4-4-2.

GOAL: After a fairly quiet ten minutes to the game, the Brewers took the lead through Aurelien Joachim. Timmy Thiele recieved the ball in the box from a Nathan Ferguson through-ball before pulling back to Joachim who made no mistake in firing past De Le Paz. 0-1.

GOAL: Just two minutes later the lead was doubled! A chipped ball into the box from Reilly was headed away to Harness on the edge of the box who checked inside onto his left foot before fiirng past the 'keeper! 0-2.

GOAL: And just a few more minutes later, there was another goal! This time it fell to the home side in Marlon Harewood. Callum Reilly did his best to stop a cross from Clifton but the delivery was perfect for Harewood to plant a header past Bywater from ten yards. 1-2.

GOAL: This started to become a really strange game to report on. Between each goal there were no chances..This time it was Albion's turn to score again. Aurelien Joachim bagged his second of the game, calmly slotting past De La Paz. 1-3.

GOAL: Nuneaton again pulled another goal back through Callum Chetlle. He made a great run down the right before brushing off Gatter to fire past Bywater from a tight angle. 2-3.

Harewood had a great chance to level jut before the break as he got on the end of a Clifon cross bus his power-shot was smashed way over the bar.

Aurelien Joachim nearly added a fourth for the Brewers just after Harewood's chance. He recieved a pull-back from Sam Auston down the right before his shot was blocked by the 'keeper and Nuneaton managed to clear.

GOAL: Just three minutes into the second half, the home side equalised through a teriffic overhead kick by Harewood from 12 yards! 3-3.

Nathan Ferguson ventured a little further forward as he played a one two with Harness before slicing his shot just over from 12 yards.

Thiele had a good chance to hand the Brewers the lead as Joachim cut inside from a great left handed run before pulling it back for the Dutchman but his shot looped over the bar.

Two academy products were given the final 20 minutes of the game. On came Hallahan & Fox for Palmer & Reilly respecitevly.

Another great chance fell to Burton Albion. The first through Thiele who was denied from point-blank range by the 'keeper then secondly Ferguson blasted over the rebound from inside the box.

GOAL: The home side finally took the lead through Clifton who had looked a danger all night. He tapped home a well weighted cross from the right. 4-3.

Academy forward Marcus Dinanga was thrown on to try and get a goal back for the Brewers in the final seven minutes as he replaced Ferguson.
