STUART BEAVON SAID BURTON ARE LOOKING TO GO AT COVENTRY CITY ON SATURDAY

15 January 2016

A TRIP to Coventry City is the next obstacle in the way of Burton Albion's push to stay top of Sky Bet League One.

The Brewers travel to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday for the first time in a league competition, a challenge in which striker Stuart Beavon admits the Albion are looking to go at.

Beavon said: "We're looking to go.

"We know we're top at the minute and we have a couple of games in hand but between now and the end of the season it will be tough.

"We played Coventry here (Pirelli Stadium) and we know how good they are going to be.

"We need to go out and play our game and do what we can do."

Last time the two sides met, Coventry ran out 2-1 winners at the Pirelli Stadium in front of the Sky Sports cameras but Beavon thinks Burton were a little off-key that day.

"We had an off day that day.

"We have played really well and it was one of them days where it didn't quite go.

"We know they are a good team so we will go at them.

"As a forward you go into every game and we're confident you can score goals against any team.

"We have got one of the best defences in the league and we're happy with our defence, they are capable of stopping anyone."
