WARD AND BINNOM-WILLIAMS DEPART PIRELLI STADIUM

4 January 2016

BURTON Albion first-team goal-keeping coach Gavin Ward has left the club to join Queens Park Rangers.

Ward will link up with formers Brewers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and his assistant David Oldfield at Loftus Road.

Nigel Clough has appointed Martin Taylor as Ward’s replacement.

Taylor, a former Derby County and Wycombe Wanderers keeper, will be no stranger to Brewers supporters. He was part of Clough’s backroom team when Albion were in the Conference between 2004 and 2008.

Meanwhile, Jerome Binnom-Williams has returned to Crystal Palace. The loan player hadn’t started a game since November for Albion but will be remembered for scoring a memorable last gasp winner at Chesterfield on September 26.
