BURTON Albion won their first pre-season game building up to the Championship season as they put two goals past Leek Town.
Clough fielded two different teams in each half as he hopes to bring more players into the club.
He said: “The first one is always going to be different to August the 6th but you have to get the first one out the way so it was ideal to come here and play this game tonight.
“It’s about everyone getting that first 45 minutes under their belt and then progress again on Saturday.
“You look at a few things positional wise as well but not so much about systems.
“Hopefully we will get a few more players in, we’ve got a few trialists with us so it was nice to get them out on the pitch.”
