BACT STILL RECRUITING FOR GIRLS FOOTBALL & EDUCATION PROGRAMME

EFL Championship Burton Albion Community Trust is currently recruiting female players aged 16 -18 to join next seasons’ further Education 11 aside football programme.

This is a great opportunity to stay in full time education, train and play like professional athletes.  We have dedicated UEFA A & B FA licensed coaches supported by highly skilled fitness and medical backroom staff.  

Burton Albion Community Trust have built strong partnerships within Education and football development through the variety of programmes it delivers across Burton and the surrounding areas.  Throughout the course staff will Inspire, Engage, Educate students to set high standards for themselves so they can exceed their own expectations.

We have an exciting pre-season programme which includes games against Derby County, Swansea City, Oxford United and Swindon Town.  Any players who register interest in the programme will have the opportunity to trial during these fixtures.  

The female squad will be entered into the newly formed National Youth Football League, teams include Chelsea, Reading, Watford and Oxford United along with competing in the Colleges league and the EFL futsal league.  The squad will also be entered into a National cup competition and festivals which will help them develop their game in a tournament environment.

The programme will also include a pre-season tour to Barcelona during the 2017 Easter break, which will be great opportunity to further enhance their learning experience.

The squad will be based at the newly built Burton Albion Community Trust Football Centre located on the same site as the Pirelli stadium.  The team will practice and play their home fixtures on the brand new 3G pitch which will include new changing rooms, classroom, IT suite and medical facilities. 

The programme includes six hours of practice per week with a competitive fixture every week, in addition all players will be encouraged to play for their current clubs.  Players will have the opportunity to gain experience and industry recognized qualifications which could result into employment within sport, and potential of gaining an Educational scholarship with an American college.
