DECEMBER

BAFC 2-1 Millwall
A stirring and feisty encounter with Millwall finished with Albion back at the summit of League One as Damien McCrory's first goal of the season followed by Nasser El Khayati's eighth strike of the campaign proved enough for the three points, the visitors finishing the game with ten men after Mark Beevers was dismissed late on.

Gillingham 0-3 BAFC
Three second half goals from a rampant Burton Albion side condemned promotion rivals Gillingham to a first home league defeat of the season and further enhanced the Brewers place at the top of Sky Bet League One.

BAFC 3-3 Doncaster Rovers
Former Doncaster winger Mark Duffy came up with a last ditch equaliser to ensure that Nigel Clough's first game back at the Pirelli Stadium did not end in defeat. In a game that swung one way and then the other Albion trailed twice, having initially come from behind to lead thanks to two goals for Calum Butcher, his first strikes for the club.

BAFC 1-0 Swindon Town
Lucas Akins 77th minute penalty was the deciding factor as Burton Albion finished the year with a win in front of the Pirelli Stadium faithful. The Brewers have thrived on the industry and hard work of their side throughout this most successful spell in their history and this was no different as Stuart Beavon refused to give on a ball heading out of play. The Albion striker embarrassed Swindon defender Jordan Turnbull who was shepherding the ball out of play and enticed a rash challenge from the youngster inside the box giving Akins, on as a substitute, the chance to drill home the resulting spot kick.
