OCTOBER
BAFC 1-0 Southend United
An own goal from Southend centre back Luke Prosser ended up giving the Brewers another important three points to send Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's three points clear at the top of Sky Bet League One once more.Â
Walsall 2-0 BAFC
High flying Walsall unseated Albion at the top of the Sky Bet League One table courtesy of a 2-0 victory at the Banks's Stadium. Liam Kinsella netted on his first League start of the season to give the Saddlers the lead late in the first half before a stoppage time Tom Bradshaw penalty put the seal on the victory for Dean Smith's men.Â
Fleetwood Town 4-0 BAFC
A thoroughly frustrating afternoon for the Brewers saw them return from Fleetwood on the end of a 4-0 beating, the heaviest defeat of manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's reign and one which after half an hour looked the least likely outcome. Albion were completely dominant for the first half an hour but once Jamie Proctor prodded home at the back post the home side were transformed. It came just seconds after Matty Palmer had rattled the Fleetwood crossbar with a rasping 25 yard effort.Â
BAFC 0-0 Crewe Alexandra
A frustrating night at the Pirelli Stadium as the Brewers toiled away in vain to grab a victory over struggling Crewe Alexandra but ultiimately having to settle for a point from a goalless draw. Mark Duffy's last minute free kick that thumped down off the underside of the crossbar was the nearest Albion came after spending large portions of the game camped around the Crewe penalty area.Â
