A WIN on Tuesday night against Sheffield United was just what the Brewers needed after a loss against Southend then a goalless draw against Walsall in the league.
The next challenge on the way to promotion is Crewe Alexandra as the Brewers travel to Gresty Road on Saturday to take on the struggling League One team who sit 23rd.
First team coach Andy Garner is anticipating a difficult game against the Railway Men as they scrap for League One survival.
âThey need wins so will be devastated with that (the late equaliser for Southend) I would imagine,â said Andy Garner.
He added: âItâs getting to the stage now that itâs wins now for Crewe if they want to stay up so it will be a difficult game.
âNow, at this time of the season, every game is difficult. It will be no different at Crewe on Saturday.â
Garner also stated his side must be âspot onâ again if they are to get anything from the game.
âWe have to be spot on.
âWe saw at Rochdale that if you aren't right you lose games. They will be fighting for their lives.
âItâs hard for them, the pressure is on them and we have to take advantage of that.
âLike at Sheffield United you could sense the nervousness.
âWe have to be right mentally on Saturday.â
The first team coach has a game plan which he will take to Gresty Road on Saturday.
âIf Crewe want to win the game they will have to come at us and that leaves gaps and then itâs up to break, play counter attacking football and that might suit us.â
