BREWERS REMAIN 'UPBEAT' DESPITE BRADFORD DEFEAT

10 March 2016

NIGEL Clough says the setback at Bradford won’t stop his team staying “upbeat”.

The Albion boss said: “What matters is maintaining our lead at the top – beating Fleetwood is all that matters now. The current form will look a bit better then and I think we are playing OK.

“We are still upbeat. I think if we had slipped down to third or fourth there might be a change but everybody recognises the position we are in the league and we are doing brilliantly.

“People say we shouldn’t be losing at Bradford – but they have five top strikers in League One and had 17,500 there.

“One of the things that you see from tiredness is the amount of free kicks we gave away at Bradford. It’s something we haven’t been doing and have given very few away. All of a sudden we had four bookings – we have only had two in the last five games. That’s from a bit of tiredness and the opposition putting us under a bit of pressure.”
