BREWERS WILL PUSH ON AFTER MILLWALL DEFEAT SAYS MIDFIELDER

30 March 2016

MIDFIELDER Hamza Choudhury says that defeat against Millwall will not knock the Brewers off course as they chase promotion.

He says: “We have been at the top for four months now and we know how hard it is. It means a lot for other teams to get a result against us.

“But everyone here is still positive. We have lots of big games coming up and I think we will push on and stay top of the league.

“The captain has a big role to play in the dressing room and the likes of Stuart Beavon, Lucas Akins and Robbie Weir. They all keep the younger lads going.

"Everyone encourages each other. The Gaffer has a big part to play in that as well.

“The lads aren’t feeling the pressure and we are concentrating on ourselves not the performances of other teams.

“We have set our level very high this season and when you do set the bar that high it’s hard to reach that every game. No team in the world can do that. What we need to do is still get results when we aren’t quite at that level.

“But this is just a small glitch. We have seven games to go and we will go out and perform in those games. I’m sure the fans will keep believing and the crowd can get behind us and help us. I’m sure they are confident in the players and the club and we can give them what they want at the end of the day.”
