NIGEL Clough is looking to extend the stay of on-loan signing Hamza Choudhury.
The Leicester City midfielder made his first start against Fleetwood and impressed the Albion boss.Clough said: “Hamza did very well, saying he’s only 18, making his first League start. Playing under 21 football is completely different. It’s not that results don’t matter but it is called the Development League for a reason.
“I think he got tired in the last 15 minutes but that’s the emotion and everything as well.
“Robbie Weir then came on and saw the game out for us which was very important. That’s what you need in the squad, people to be able to come on at any time and do a job.”
Choudhury’s loan expires on March 26 but Clough is looking to potentially extend that to the end of the season.
He says: “We will be getting on to that. He’s enjoying it and getting some experience and we have a good addition to our squad so it’s working for everybody.”
