IT was a disappointing night at Valley Parade for the Brewers as they lost 2-0 to Bradford City.
Two first half goals for the Bantams cost Burton, although it was their game in hand over the rest of League One.
Nigel Clough said: “After the 20 minutes after they scored, I thought we came back in it.
“The second half was even but the first goal was important.
“We have given it away too many times lately.”
Bradford pressed Burton high up the pitch which stopped the flow of Burton’s usual game of passing between teams.
“I think you have to give Bradford credit tonight, they closed us down well and stopped us playing,” said Clough.
He added: “We didn’t cope well enough early on.
“The crowd turned up tonight and wanted to beat top of the league.
“Two weeks ago they lost to the bottom of the league.”
