BREWERS manager Nigel Clough hails Burton Albion’s “outstanding” performance as they thrashed Port Vale 4-0 at Vale Park.
He said: “It was an outstanding for any performance home or away.
“From the first minute to the last we were outstanding.
“We gave them too many chances in the second half but the quality of our goals with the exception of the second one were excellent.”
Port Vale have only lost once at home all season and that was back in November.
“When you come to somewhere with a home record like Port Vale who have only lost one game all season it’s always important to set the tone early on,” said Clough.
“We were worthy winners today.”
