PIRELLI STADIUM FILM SHOOT IS CANCELLED

24 March 2016

PADDY Considine will no longer be filming at Burton Albion after a change in his plans.

The Burton film-maker was to have shot at the Pirelli Stadium on April 2 for his next film Journeyman and had asked for the club’s assistance in finding extras for a scene that would have been filmed before the Bury fixture.

However this will no longer be taking place.

Burton Albion commercial director Fleur Robinson said: “We are disappointed for our fans, especially as we had a large number put their names forward to be extras. We made all the necessary arrangements to accommodate the film crew but they have decided not to film here after all, which is shame but beyond Burton Albion’s control.”

A spokesperson for the film company said: “Paddy's heart will always be in Burton but part of the way Paddy works is that the story constantly evolves throughout the filming process, and having a scene in a football stadium wasn't right for this story anymore.

“If we were ever to film in a football stadium Burton Albion would, without a doubt, be his first choice.  Our sincere apologies and thank you for all your support and interest.
