TIMMY THIELE JOINS OLDHAM ATHLETIC ON LOAN

11 March 2016

BURTON Albion striker Timmy Thiele has joined Oldham Athletic on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

The German striker joined the Brewers in June 2015 from Borussia Dortmund and has since made 25 appearances, 9 starts, scoring one goal in the process.

His only goal came in a 5-1 win against Colchester United back in November.

Timmy will link up with fellow-Burton Albion team mate Matty Palmer who recently extended his loan spell with the Latics until the end of the season.

Timmy Thiele said: “I am very happy to move to Oldham Athletic. Hopefully I’ll get some games and build my confidence up by scoring goals.

“I hope I can help Oldham climb up the league as I don’t think they deserve to be in the league position they are in at the minute.”

Nigel Clough said: “It will be good for him (Timmy Thiele) as a striker to go out and get games under his belt at Oldham.

“Timmy has been unlucky to find himself just outside the squad with Mason and everyone else being fit.”

He will be eligible to play in their fixture against Sheffield United tomorrow.
