ON-LOAN Birmingham City winger Mark Duffy was the winner of Goal Of The Season 2015/16 for his effort against Fleetwood Town at the Pirelli Stadium.
He said: “I liked the Blackpool goal better than that.”
The winger, who was a trainee at Liverpool, has spent the entire season on loan with the Brewers and couldn’t hide his joy with the outcome of his loan spell.
“I’ve loved every minute of it,” he said.
“Last year was difficult for me, I was injured for most of the season so this year was about getting back and playing my football which I wouldn’t have picked a better place with a better bunch of lads.
“They welcomed me with open arms from the first minute and I’m really grateful to them all really.”
Duffy will be taking on one of his former teams on Sunday as the Brewers travel to Doncaster Rovers in what could be the final game of the season with 1 point being enough to secure Championship football for next season.
When asked if he’s got something up his sleeve for Sunday, Duffy said: “I hope so yes because I was at Doncaster before, they booed me quite a lot last time.”
