OPEN-TOP BUS TOUR WILL CELEBRATE PROMOTION

13 May 2016

BURTON Albion fans are being urged to turn out in force and celebrate promotion to the Championship as the team tours the town in an open top bus on Saturday.

The Brewers secured promotion to the second tier of English football at Doncaster last Sunday and can now look forward to playing Aston Villa, Birmingham, Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United next season.

In order to give the town of Burton-on-Trent the chance to celebrate this historic achievement for the football club, Nigel Clough and the first team squad will take an open top bus tour with the League One runners-up trophy.

The bus will leave the Pirelli Stadium at 11am.

The route will be:
Pirell Stadium-Derby Road-Station Street-Union Street-New Street-High Street-Wetmore Road-Wharf Road-Hawkins Lane-Pirelli Stadium.

The key vantage points will be New Street, the Market Place, High Street and the Pirelli Stadium.

The tour will finish back at the Pirelli Stadium.

The club shop will be open from 9am and will be selling promotion t-shirts, scarves, flags and other merchandise.
