BURTON Albion’s first-ever Championship kit will be supplied by local firm TAG Sportswear.
TAG, based on Derby Road, has been supplying Burton Albion’s first team for more than 20 years and has again secured the contract with the Brewers.
Last season, Burton Albion’s home shirts, created by TAG, were voted in the top three for League One by football fans.
The Football League ran a poll and the Brewers came third behind Sheffield United and Bradford City.
The black and yellow striped shirt has also proved a big hit with Albion supporters, who have worn it proudly during the promotion-winning season.
Burton Albion commercial director Fleur Robinson said: “We are delighted to be working with TAG again next season. For our first season in the Championship, we put the contract out to a competitive tendering process that attracted major suppliers. TAG not only matched the quality on offer but also had the added advantage of a more local and personal service.”
As soon as Albion were promoted, work on the new kit was able to begin, and TAG will be pressing ahead full steam to get the Brewers well-dressed for the Championship.
