BARNSLEY MATCH PREVIEW

4 November 2016

BURTON Albion will host Barnsley at the Pirelli Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday afternoon in what will be one of three games this month.

The two sides have met three times before, once in the FA Cup and twice in Sky Bet League One. Burton have never beat Barnsley but have only conceded one goal against them in the league. The scores ended 0-0 when Barnsley visited the Pirelli last season whilst the away fixture finished 1-0 to the home side.

Burton will be going into the game off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Leeds United on Saturday whilst Barnsley most recently drew 2-2 with Bristol City. The Brewers have taken seven points from their last five games whereas Barnsley have taken just four from their last five.

Peter Bankes is the man with the whistle on Saturday, he’s brandished 63 yellow cards in 14 matches so far this season - He’s also given seven reds!

WHAT’S ON?

Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) will once again be hosting their pre-match activity sessions at the newly-openened Burton Albion Community Football Centre. The session will take place between 1.30PM and 2.15PM at a price of just £1 for Junior Brewers and £3 for non-Junior Brewers. Participants must have a match ticket and their Junior Brewers card.

BACT are also hosting a disability football mash up session at the Burton Albion Community Football Centre pre-match between 1.30PM and 2.15PM FREE of charge.

There will be a bucket collection around the ground as volunteers ask you kindly to dig deep in aid of Prostate Cancer. Please donate any spare change you have to this great cause.

Fancy being part of a world record attempt? Head over to the North stand pre-match and sign your name on the card in order to help the National Arboretum break the record of most names signed on a Christmas card.
