BREWERS LOOK TO GO INTO INTERNATIONAL BREAK WITH ANOTHER VICTORY

3 November 2016

NIGEL Clough is hoping to go into the international break on a high with another three points.

The Brewers have beaten Derby and Cardiff heading into previous international gaps in the EFL fixtures which has given them a boost before the break.

Nigel Clough is hoping for the same again when Barnsley come to the Pirelli on Saturday.

He said: “Getting 20 points going into the international break will be a good achievement at this stage of the season so that will be an incentive as well. November is a very light month in Championship terms with only three games and with the other two being Reading and Preston away it puts more emphasis on Saturday’s result.”

The Brewers boss will also be looking to work on set plays ahead of the game as he feels that’s an area Albion need to exploit.

“We are not getting our reward from set plays. Matty Plamer is putting some great deliveries in and we are working on them but we need someone to have that bit of desire to get a clear header in on goal. That’s one area we are looking to do well in.”
