CHILDREN IN NEED RALLY COMES TO THE PIRELLI

16 November 2016

THE Pirelli Stadium will be the driving force behind the ‘Big Learner Rally’ as the Brewers play host to the event in aid of Children in Need on Friday.

The event, which has been running since 2014, sees driving instructors relay a car top box as they move from one driving lessons to another, as the fundraiser moves across the country over a 15-day period.

The stadium will be the starting point of the Burton to Ripley leg of the fundraiser, which will end at Donington Park later the same day.

Those starting at the Pirelli will meet at 9.30 AM with the first lesson taking place at 10am.

The ‘Big Learner Rally’ has raised over £150,000 over its first two years, with last year’s total falling just below £100,000. Money can be donated by sponsoring a coloured spot that will be signed placed on a car.

The leg will be led by Kate Fennelly, 46, of the Feet to Wheels Driving School in Ilkeston.
