BURTON ALBION chairman Ben Robinson welcomed companies to the football club’s inaugural business networking event.
More than 20 companies were represented at the exclusive launch event for Club Albion which is designed to use the powerful brand of a Championship football club to benefit partner businesses.
Club Albion members met at the Pirelli Stadium for a networking lunch after an introductory speech from the chairman.
He said: “I’m delighted that businesses have joined us on this new venture which provides an opportunity for the football club and local companies to work together.
“We know that Burton Albion’s promotion to the Championship has had a significant impact on the local economy and Club Albion helps our partners to capitalise on that.”
The Club Albion business club was formed to provide a platform for a diverse number of local companies to engage with each other and ultimately generate revenue. The businesses represented vary from small and emerging firms to blue chip companies. Burton Albion acts as the community hub enabling its members to utilise its resource and facility to drive business locally and regionally.
