DIG DEEP FOR PROSTATE CANCER COLLECTION

TODAY when the Brewers take on Barnsley, Prostate Cancer UK are the match-ball sponsors which has been kindly donated to the charity by the club.

Prostate Cancer UK are the official charity of the English Football League which aims to reach millions of football supporters through engagement activity across football grounds to raise awareness of the disease which now effects one in eight men in the UK.

 

Earlier on this year Burton Albion and Queens Hospital in Burton ran a campaign which provided free prostate cancer screenings for 113 fans of which eight fans tested positive for prostate cancer.

 

The club have a further 100 men coming to upcoming screenings and urge fans to give generously to members of the Burton Rotary Club who will be on hand tomorrow before the game with prostate cancer charity boxes.

 

The club have several other plans in place to continue to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK in the near future.
