JACKSON IRVINE MAKES HIS 7TH APPEARANCE FOR AUSTRALIA

15 November 2016

JACKSON Irvine was used sub in the 79th minute in Australia's 2-2 draw against Thailand at the Rajamangala National Stadium.

The game was played in unusual circumstances as chanting and banners have been banned in and around the stadium area. This is due to the death of their King Bhumibol Adulyadej who died on the 13th of October aged 88, which has lead to the country being in a year of mourning.

A brace from Mile Jedinak rescued a point in World Cup Qualification, both goals came from the spot.

In other international news, Tom Flanagan could make his Northern Ireland debut as they face Croatia in a friendly at Windsor Park, Belfast tonight. This is the second time he has been called up for his national side, however his first call up was soon ended through a thigh injury.
