NAYLOR SAYS BREWERS ARE JUST LOOKING TO WIN TODAY

19 November 2016

AFTER signing a new contract yesterday, Burton Albion midfielder is looking to achieve something else that the team haven’t managed this season.

The Brewers haven’t yet own on the road, but they have come very close on several occasions, but Tom Naylor feels today could be that day that the tables turn and the Brewers get their first away win.

He said: “We’re just going there to win, to get that first away win of the season which is massive for us. If we get that (away win) it’s a massive bonus and we will kick on for next week.”

Burton were denied by a late equaliser at Craven Cottage back in September and their last point on the road came in a 0-0 draw against Wigan at the DW Stadium.

“We have been really close with the away results,” said Naylor. He added: “Obviously Fulham we was very close and Wigan we really should have won to be fair. It’s definitely coming and hopefully we will get that result.

“I think they (Reading) have picked up with their results over the past couple of weeks.”

The Brewers have had chance to re-charge their batteries over the international break, apart from Jackson Irvine and Tom Flanagan of course, but the Brewers midfielder Tom Naylor insists Nigel Clough’s men have had a tough week of training leading up to today’s game.

“You need that re-charge and when the gaffer give you days off it’s massive really. We’ve had a solid week leading up to this game so everyone is feeling fresh and sharp.”
