MORE TO COME FROM BREWERS SQUAD SAYS GARNER

4 October 2016

ANDY Garner believes there is a lot more to come from the Brewers after recording a 2-0 win over Cardiff before going into the international break.

The Brewers coach said: "It was a good performance against Cardiff but I still think there is a lot more to come. We know we can still do better and that we can keep improving.

"The last 10 minutes we were stuck in the middle a bit not knowing whether to go for a third goal or look for a clean sheet and I think the players erred towards keeping them out as if you let in a goal then the pressure is right on you again.

"We know both QPR and Cardiff were winnable games and it shows how important the point was against QPR because we worked extremely hard in a scrappy game and got a result after two defeats before that. We had targeted four points from the two games and that set us up to beat Cardiff.

"We knew the next win was coming - we knew it was just a case of when not if."

"We can now go into the international break feeling that bit better. If anyone had said at this stage of the season we would be above Aston Villa and Derby County then we would have taken that.

"At the moment, it's a nice position to be in but it's far too early to start looking at the table. We will just keep picking up as many points as we can and the three points against Cardiff were massive."
