VICTORY MARGIN COULD HAVE BEEN GREATER SAYS O'GRADY

22 October 2016

CHRIS O’Grady says that the Brewers could have scored more in the 2-0 win against Birmingham.

Speaking after the match, the striker said: “After not scoring in the previous two games (Wigan and Ipswich) it was nice to get off the mark today and to build on that as well because we could have got a one nil but we kicked on and could have scored more.

“I think we deserved more out of the week but it was nice to finish it like that and get the three points.

“We knew they were a hard working team like ourselves and they did take us by surprise but I suppose we pride ourselves on working hard and when we work harder than the opposition we’ll get our results and that’s what happened tonight.”

The striker also believes that the Brewers can turn their strong home form into a first away win of the season soon, saying: “I suppose it's about getting off the mark at the away games because the performances have been there but it's just about getting that first goal and getting the first three points away from home and shoot up the table.

“We’ve picked up a few decent results lately but a draw and a loss and we’re near the bottom of the league so it's important to tick along with the wins and when we add away wins to the home ones, we’ll be comfortable and looking up the table rather than down it.

“We spread the goals around and everyone does more than their own job, it’s a really good squad and its definitely one capable of avoiding relegation.”
