CLOUGH HOPES TO HAVE THREE BACK FOR NORWICH

20 September 2016

NIGEL Clough hopes to have at least three of his squad back on duty for the trip to Norwich.

The Brewers boss said: "Ben Turner will be back after suspension. Chris O'Grady will be back after not being eligible to play against Brighton and hopefully Lucas Akins (injury).

"We missed Chris, not having him as that focal point.

"We didn't have the height when we had free kicks and corners."

Clough will still be without Kyle McFadzean (who will serve the third and final game of his suspension) and John Mousinho may also not be fit.

"All the back three we started with at Forest on the opening day of the season were out on Saturday (Mousinho, McFadzean, Turner) so the defence was patched up," said Clough.

"We had Tom Flanagan back and he did OK for his first match back and battled away. And I was pleased with the effort of the young lads. Ben Fox has had a run out, Marcuss Harness has another game under his belt and has done well.  Will Miller worked hard and did well when he got the ball.

"It was great experience for them - it was just a shame it wasn't a more positive one with us getting a 0-0.

"The encouraging thing is that we haven't lost a game by more than one goal this season, they have all  been close. When we get some of the seven players missing today back we will get a bit closer to teams like Brighton."
