NIGEL CLOUGH ON TONIGHT'S OPPONENTS FULHAM

13 September 2016

AS Burton Albion gear up for another away game on tonight against Fulham, Brewers manager Nigel Clough will be without four of his players through injury.

Captain John Mousinho, Lucas Akins, Tom Flanagan and Callum Reilly will all miss out but Clough says his skipper is edging closer to full fitness.

“I don’t think any of them will be available for the Fulham game on Tuesday night.

“John Mousinho isn’t too far away and Tom Flanagan has been stepping up his work this week but it will be too early to put them in.

“Callum Reilly is still coming back from the nasty dead leg he had, he will be another couple of weeks at least.

“Lucas Akins isn’t too bad but I don’t think we will be risking him, I’m not sure yet but he will come with us and we will see how he is. John Mousinho will also travel but they will both be unlikely.”

Burton are yet to win on the road but are unbeaten in their last four league games, and have picked up three points against Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County and a vital point most recently against Wolves.

As the Brewers prepare to take on Fulham, Nigel Clough said: “It’s another team that has spent some big money but it’s a great place to go and play football, it’s one of the last few old grounds where the supporters are close to you, so it’s a good place to want to go and play.

“We will approach it the same as we have done for the last three away games.”

Clough also mentioned his team will be going out there tonight playing with no fear:

“We don’t want to be frightened of anything.

“If you look over the last six games, you have to be very respectful of the opposition with what they can do but there’s certainly nothing to fear.”
