TOM FLANAGAN WITHDRAWS FROM NORTHERN IRELAND SQUAD

2 September 2016

BURTON Albion defender Tom Flanagan has been forced to withdraw from the Northern Ireland squad with a thigh injury.

The 24-year-old was called upon by Michael O’Neill for the first time to join the squad for the World Cup qualifying game away in the Czech Republic on Sunday, September 4.

Flanagan joined up with his international team mates before making an early return to England following a thigh injury.

He has been replaced by Aberdeen defender Callum Morris.

The Brewers currently have Jamie Ward, Lee Williamson and Jackson Irvine away on international duty.
