CLOUGH LOOKS FOR TEAM TO END DEMANDING WEEK WITH MORE POINTS

6 April 2017

NIGEL Clough hopes an energy-sapping week won't stop his team putting in another good performance at home to Aston Villa on Saturday.

The Albion boss said: "It's difficult when you work so hard at Huddersfield and then again at Newcastle and I just hope we can recover in time for Aston Villa on Saturday.

"Newcastle has gone now. It was a magnificent effort and we gave it a good go but it's all about Aston Villa on Saturday now. It's about recovery and doing everything we can to get ready for that game.

John Brayford received a head injury after colliding with Ben Turner and needed treatment after the game. Clough will have to assess his squad and may have to make changes again with another match only 48 hours away.

He said: "There is frustration that we didn't get something out of the Newcastle game. It has been a particularly tough week with two on the road but we need to get our energy levels back and try and get something out of our next game."
